Kings

Henry V was a very powerful man in the country of England. He was the king from 1413-1422. Along with being the king he had many other powerful relatives and was held in many other powerful positions.

Kings were the supreme rulers of the land. They surrounded themselves with advisors, clos friends and family members in high places, for example a kings uncle might be a Duke. His sons and possibly his nephews would be princes.

Kings would rule the land, keeping everything lawful, leading wars and making the rules. Everybody paid the king in t5he feudal system, since he peasants paid the knight and lords of the manor, and they paid they higher nobles and finally they paid the King.

Kings would make decisions like to explore places and send people to develop colonies. Most kings wanted riches from far away land. Usually they got them. While the King was away his queen or one of the princes would rule the land and all the Estate.
